Just to let you know that Lindy Pickard of the Cloth Hall in Huddersfield has aquired a bolt of cloth which is suitable for making Regimental soldier’s coats and breeches. It is a lovely quality 100% wool fabric in the nearest red she could get to the sample we provided. Postage will cost roughly £7.00 for 2 metres, however, Lindy hopes to be at Glynde for collection in person.

 I appreciate that while this fabric is lovely, it may be beyond many folks budgets (including mine!) so I will continue to try and source a cheaper alternative and keep you informed if I find one. If anyone else manages to find a suitable weight rusty-red ( not scarlet like Bards/ Owens etc.) do let me know.
